Durch einen grossen Zufall konnten wir Kontakt zu einem Förderer der Rasse “Bosnisches Gebirgspferd” in Sarajewo aufnehmen.

Inzwischen ist das von Enver Ziga projektierte Buch auf Serbokroatisch erschienen und eine englische Version soll in Kürze erhältlich sein. Ich hoffe wir konnten mit unseren Informationen zu dem Buch beitragen.

Hallo mr. Bluhm,
 I will give You some informatio about breed Bosnian horse
or pony.

 Breed was formed on the basis domestic horsis probabely
descendants of Tarpan and Przewalski.
Wen Turkey, begining 16.century,
occupied Bosnia they brought large number of Arabian horsis which crossed
with domestic horsis next 400 years. Predominantly it was unplanned
process.
When Bosnia was occupied from Austria in 1878.year Austrians
continued this process as they recognized excellent result of this
process.
 First stable was founded in 1907. year in Gorazde. Summer
pasture was organized in Borika, willage far cca. 80 km from Sarajevo.
After First world war stables were muved on the Igman, big mountain above
Sarajevo. But organized breeding was again founded 1929. y. in Borike as a
stud for pure-blooded Bosnian horses. Earlier in Borike was founded stable
of Arabian horsez. 1929. stallions in Borike whwre : Misko, Barut i Agan.
Misko and Barut leave male desendants and formed blood line, Agan is
importent only over female desendants. I have photo from this tree
slallions which are veri old and no good quality.

one month and send to You. First 7 Misko was born 1928.y. in willage
Rakitnica nearby Borike and his breeder was Ibrisim Cutahija. Misko was
stallion in Borike untill 1945.y. This is very good line, strong,willing
for work and very good temper. If You need more information

On the photo from left side: breeding stallion 54 MISKO XXI born 1988.y.
in stud-farm Borike, were used like breeding stallion olmost 10 year. Last
summer died. Then is Brano stable man in Borike. Then is Forcan former
director of stud farm Borike. Then is one men in serbs national costume.
Then is me in light sweater keeping stallion 670 MISKO XVII-41-5 born
1997..in Borike. This is one of best Bosnian horses i ever met.
Unfortunately he have one hoof ill. Last year I spend a lot of money to
save the horse but without result.
